SAUNA
This is an enclosed area made of wood in which one takes a dry heat bath at temperatures that can vary between 70° C and 100° C.
The practice of sauna is beneficial for muscles and joints, to eliminate toxins and to relax.
You can sit down or lie down for a few minutes. Return to a sitting position to conclude the session.
If you want to take a cool shower on leaving the sauna, start with the feet and legs, then the arms and finally the rest of the body.
If you go to the swimming pool, take a quick shower to wash off the perspiration before entering the water.
WHAT WE ADVISE :
- Have a dry skin before entering the sauna
- Drink plenty of mineral water.
RULES OF USE :
- For hygienic reasons, be sure to use a towel to sit or lie in the sauna
- Warning: specific glasses holders are located in front of each sauna. Due to the high temperatures inside saunas as well as humidity prevailing in the hammam, we advise you to remove your glasses before entering. This will prevent damages.
- The sauna and hammam are ritual places; places where you retrieve harmony while giving a clean sweep to your worries. It purifies the mind more than the body … For the respect of everyone, please observe the silence …
- No voyeurism behavior, indecent exposure or any behavior likely to shock others are tolerated. It will result in immediate and permanent exclusion of persons involved by the Safeguards having the full authority in the center; and this without any recourse.
- You are a couple? Avoid flaunting your privacy … A kiss … yes but with modesty?
- The access to the textile saunas and hammams area is accepted from the age of 15 y.o
HAMMAM
The hammam is an agreeable hot steam bath at a temperature of 40 – 45° with a very high humidity level of 70 – 75%.
It facilitates breathing, relaxation. It acts on muscle contractions and the nervous system.
What Les Thermes advises : take part in one or two sessions of between 5 and 15 minutes followed by a refreshing hydration of the entire body and a rest session.
